The Columbus Museum’s collection of American paintings, sculpture, and decorative art represents almost 300 years of artistic development. Included are portraits, still life paintings, landscapes, furniture and sculpture in a variety of artistic styles including William and Mary, Federal, Neoclassical Impressionism, and the Ashcan School. The 20th - and 21st-century collection contains examples of Abstraction, Social Realism, and Surrealism, as well as outstanding examples of decorative arts, furniture, and sculpture. Artists of regional as well as national significance are featured.
