Here's another incredible essay! Enjoy
Morgan, our First Place winner for grades 4-5 appreciates her Devil Dog dad. Want to know why? Well she tells us in this wonderful write-up ... an honest look at life through her eyes. Congratulations Morgan. We appreciate you too!
You will need a tissue for this one ... Zachary, our Military Child Essay Contest Second Place Winner for grades 4-5, tells us about the lonely nights without his dad. We have been at war for more than a decade and military children, like Zachary, are experiencing these emotional roller coasters all over the globe. We are thankful for their service too. Zachary - thank you!
Our First Place Winner for k - 1st graders is Trent and he is a big fan of sports. He's also a huge fan of his daddy's and calls him his hero. Thanks Trent and good luck when you make your upcoming move to Japan!
Despite the many moves and different schools that Joseph, our First Place Winner for grades 2-3, has endured, he still compliments his mom's cooking (wow, we should all be so lucky!) and says his dad will always be his hero. Joesph, thank you for your post and we think you are a hero too.
Do you want to know why Carley, our overall Military Child Essay Contest Winner, loves being a military child? We do too! Our hats off to this gal who stands up for her milkid title with pride. Check it out!
Nadia is our second place winner for grades 2-3 and you can see by her beaming smile that she has got a lot to say! We want to hear it Nadia. Thanks for your blog post and a big ol round of applause from the folks at BSF! Can I get a whoop whoop!
Alexandra L., a second grader living in Georgia, gives us a little insight into what it's like to have a father deployed. Her military child essay contest entry was one of many that stood out for pure honesty and we appreciate her and all she does. Grab a tissue!
