Military spouses, service members and veterans are invited to attend the free military Spouse Symposium & Career Fair 2012 “Keeping a Career on the Move,” co-hosted by the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and Blue Star Families,  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, at the San Diego Convention Center.

Take a peek into the events that happen behind the scenes with Blue Star Families, its leadership and Board of Directors! Earlier this week I had the honor of giving the keynote speech at the Massachusetts Children's Trust Fund annual conference. It's a conference of civilian family support workers like home visitors, early childhood education experts, etc.

This past Friday, the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and the United States Naval Institute (USNI) co-hosted the 4^th annual Defense Forum Washington, a one-day conference that examines the current and pervasive interests of today’s military.

Last week, bloggers from all over the country and beyond gathered in New York for the annual BlogHer convention.  So, of course, Blue Star Families was there! This was my third BlogHer.  I attended in 2007 and 2008 but I skipped the conference last year to get in a quick romantic vacation with my husband without the kids!  (Who can turn that down?)
